Some time ago we sent out a questionnaire about interest in an extra mass on Sunday afternoon.

It has been decided that this mass will be planned for Sundays at 5 PM, starting on the 2nd week of September.

The organization however is still searching for a sacristan that can help with preparing and cleaning up the church.

The tasks will be to open the Cathedral before 5 PM, to close it after 6 PM and to arrange eveything inside so that the mass can be celebrated. It is a pure volunteer work, that should be performed as part of a team in a rotating schedule.

On the 15th of June our community organized the traditional Assel day, a day of fun activities, to get to know each other, in the Don Bosco Centrum.
We had lot’s of fun together but also time for meditation and a stroll in the wonderful surroundings.

From August 2019 a room will become available in the Ki Tov community (http://www.kitov.nl/) in Utrecht!

The room is available for six months to a year. However, it is possible to stay even longer. We would particularly like to welcome an international student.

Eleven people live together in what used to be a monastery near the centre of Utrecht. Some of us are at the end of our studies, while others are already working. So all in all a pretty diverse group. A very importantpart of our community is that every morning and every evening we have prayer in our chapel in the style of Taizé. Most of us are quite independent and have our own thing. Nevertheless, we always spend one evening a week together for dinner and an activity. When the weather is nice we also enjoy hanging out in our very big and beautiful garden.

Coming Saturday, June the 22nd, from 16:00 to 24:00 the St. Catherine Cathedral will join in the annual Church Night Utrecht.

It’s an opportunity to make our community visible to visitors. There will be guided tours, talks with visitors about faith, singing, prayer and more. At 18:30 there will be mass.
