Schedule Holy Week

The Holy week is approaching and there will be many celebrations during this time.
In English, however, we will only have Easter mass on Sunday at the usual time, 12:30.

Below follows the full schedule of celebrations, in case you don’t mind to attend a celebration in Dutch.

Maundy Thursday, March 24
10.00: Lamentations of Jeremiah (Dutch)
12.00-12.20: Confessions in the following languages: Dutch; French; German; English; Italian
16.00: No Vespers
17.00: Solemn Mass (Dutch)

Good Friday, March 25
10.00: Lamentations of Jeremiah (Dutch)
15.00: Stations of the cross (Dutch)

Holy Saturday, March 26
10.00: Lamentations of Jeremiah (Dutch)
11.15: Rosary (Dutch)
21.00: Holy Easter Vigil (Dutch)

Easter, March 27
9.45: Rosary (Dutch)
10.30: Solemn High Mass (Dutch)
12.30: Holy Mass in English
13.30: Confessional Opportunity in English and Dutch

Easter Monday, March 28
10.30: Eucharist with Cantor (Dutch)

March couples and families meeting

This coming Sunday 13th of March 2016 we’ll have our monthly meeting of young couples and families.
we will discuss a methodology to improve dialogue and relationship within the couple together with Anand. We will connect to the movie Fireproofmarriage and share in group our thoughts. Do not worry if you did not see the movie in January. We will see the 60 seconds summary of the movie for those who missed it 😉
 
Father John will attend the meetings from April onwards. We agreed that future meetings of Couples and Families will be the second week of the month. So pencil in your agenda next dates: 13/03/2016, 10/04/2016, 08/05/2016 and 12/06/2016
 
Structure of the meeting
  • 13.30-14.00: Gathering in the Pastoral center (downstairs, below the room of coffee and tea).
  • 14.00: Potluck Lunch starting straight after Mass. Each of us will bring food and/or drinks to share with others.
  • 14.30-16.30: Adults meetings this time coordinated by Anand
In time slot between 14.30 and 16.30  children can play together in a another room in the Pastoral center where they can stay together. We enjoy a lot to see the binding of the three boys Felipe, Tivunnen and Gianpaolo. Do not hesitate to bring your kids!!!
Some friends will take care of children between 14.30 and 16.30. However we NEED HELP for babysitting!!! Let us know if more people are willing to help. It is very important. Please let us know if you will join or not and with how many people (adults and/or children) we need to have enough people that take care of children.

March bible study

shepherdIt is almost time for our bible study about Saint John’s gospel again. We will meditate about the following passage:

  • The good shepherd (John 10:1-21)

We will meet on the 16th of March 2016 at 19.45’ at the pastoral center (backside of St. Augustinus church, Rozenstraat no. 1).

Pilgrimages to Banneux and Lourdes

banneuxThe Banneux N.D. Organization for the Asian Pilgrims is organizing the following pilgrimages:

  • One day pilgrimage to Our Lady of Banneux (Belgium) on the 28th May. Busses will be arranged to many locations in the Netherlands. The price is 25 EUR;
  • 6 days pilgrimage to Our Lady of Lourdes (France) from the 21st to the 27th July. The trip will be by bus and the indicated price includes meals (except the ones taken during travel) and boarding. The price is 375 EUR.

13th English Mass Anniversary

happy-birthdayAlready next month, on Sunday the 3rd April, we will celebrate the 13th anniversary of the English Mass community.
 
The mass will be at the usual time, at 12.30, and we will invite the Dutch community to join us. We will count with the return of Fr. Herman and also with the presence of Fr. Huitink and Fr. Smits.
Afterwards we will have a potluck lunch in the parish hall, for which we invite everyone to bring some food of their own country to share with the community.
