As announced before we are organizing a pilgrimage to Rome from the 11th to 16th November 2016.

We’ll fly to Rome, stay in a 3 star hotel, visit the 4 Basilica’s, go to an audience with Pope Francis, and much more.

This coming Sunday 21st of February 2016 we’ll have our monthly meeting of young couples and families.
Our friend Anand will tell about a methodology to improve dialogue and relationship within the couple. And we’ll also speak of the movie of last month.

Structure of the meeting Sunday 15th of November will be as usual.
13.30-14.00: Gathering in the Pastoral center (downstairs, below the room of coffee and tea).
14.00: Potluck Lunch starting straight after Mass. Each of us will bring food and/or drinks to share with others.
14.30-16.30: Discussion between the couples.

Father John will be present as well.

In time slot between 14.30 and 16.30 children can play together in a another room in the Pastoral center where they can stay together.
Some friends will take care of children between 14.30 and 16.30. However we NEED HELP for babysitting!!! Let us know if more people are willing to help. It is very important. Please let us know if you will join or not and with how many people (adults and/or children) we need to have enough people that take care of children.

This Wednesday, the 10th, is Ash Wednesday. There won’t be any mass in English in our church. In alternative you can attend the following in Dutch:

• 12:30 at St. Augustine Church
• 19:00 at St. Catherine Cathedral

During Fr. Huitink’s last mass, he had the spontaneous idea to organize a pilgrimage to Rome. We are happy to announce that that idea is now a plan, and is as follows:

Dates: 11 to 16 November 2016

We’ll fly to Rome Fiumicino. At arrival and departure you’ll be brought to the airport and the 3*** hotel by private bus. In Rome, you’ll travel by public transport. You’ll visit the 4 Basilica’s, go to an audience with Pope Francis, have a Holy Mass on Sunday, have a city walk from the Spanish Steps to Piazza Navona and a city walk from Piazza Venezia to San Clemente. If there is time left, we’ll also visit the Jewish ghetto, and Trastevere.

In Rome Fr. Huitink will be our guide!

The pilgrimage is organized by catholic tour operator VNB, an operator in the Netherlands since 1883. They organize many pilgrimages each year for ±35.000 Catholics from The Netherlands to Holy places like Lourdes, Rome, the Holy Land, Fatima and Turkey and Greece for example. They collaborated in the past with Fr. Huitink.

Price: From € 839,00. We plan to provide facilities for those who can’t afford this value.

The program is still open for adaptation. You’ll probably have some questions or suggestions for us about this pilgrimage and that is why we are organizing an information day on the 21st of February, just after mass in the coffee and tea room. Fr. Huitink and a tour operator from VNB will be present. We can discuss our ideal pilgrimage.

It is almost time for the bible study again. We will go on with the next part of chapter 9 of Saint John’s gospel.
