The seven sacraments touch all the stages and important moments of Christian life. They bring spiritual birth, healing, and mission to every Christian’s journey of faith.
At St. Augustine’s Church, we are dedicated to guiding and supporting individuals and families in their faith journey. Whether you are preparing for marriage, seeking to become Catholic, or arranging a baptism, we are here to assist you.

Becoming Catholic (RCIA)
If you feel called to join the Catholic Church, our RCIA (Rite of Christian Initiation for Adults) program offers a pathway to full communion with the Church. This journey is open to:
- Adults who have never been baptized and wish to become Catholic
- Christians from other denominations who seek full communion with the Catholic Church
- Baptized Catholics who have not received Confirmation or First Eucharist
What to Expect:
- Weekly sessions to explore Catholic beliefs and practices
- Prayer and spiritual reflection
- Bible study and discussions on Church teachings
- Preparation for receiving the sacraments at the Easter Vigil

Infant Baptism
Baptism marks the beginning of a child’s life in the faith. Parents are invited to attend a preparation course that covers:
- The significance of baptism in the Church
- Responsibilities of parents and godparents
- What to expect during the baptism ceremony

First Holy Communion (Children’s Program)
Children aged 7 and older are welcome to prepare for their First Holy Communion. The program includes:
- Learning about the Eucharist and the celebration of the Mass
- Understanding the Sacrament of Reconciliation (Confession)
- A retreat for children and parents to prepare spiritually

Confirmation (Youth & Adults)
We offer preparation for Confirmation to baptized teens and adults who have not yet received this sacrament. It deepens your faith and strengthens your bond with the Church through the gifts of the Holy Spirit.

Marriage
Congratulations on Your Upcoming Wedding!
The sacrament of marriage celebrates your love and commitment, blessed by God. We are honored to support you in preparing for this meaningful day.
Preparing for the Wedding:
- Marriage Course: This course explores the sacrament, offers guidance on faith, communication, and commitment, and prepares you for a lasting relationship.
- Required Documents:
- Recent baptismal certificates (not older than six months)
- Special procedures may apply if one or both of you have been previously married.
- In the Netherlands, a civil marriage must occur before a church wedding.
- For weddings abroad, preparation must occur in the Netherlands and documentation must be provided to the Dutch municipality.
- Planning the Ceremony: Together with the priest or deacon, you will choose Bible readings, music, and involve your loved ones in the service.

Confession
Each Tuesday and Saturday, confessions are available at St. Augustine between 11:00 and 12:00.
Children’s Liturgy (Sunday School)
During Sunday morning Mass, our youngest members are invited to a special liturgy designed just for them.
They explore the same Gospel message as the adults, but through stories, play, drawing, singing, and dancing.
Children build friendships and grow in faith in a joyful, welcoming environment.
