We work on a few initiatives during the year to help those in need. serving others is at the core of our mission. Inspired by the Gospel’s call to justice and peace, our outreach efforts reach across borders and into the heart of our local community.

Clothing Drive in Support of the Salvation Army
As part of our ongoing commitment to serving the wider community, the English-speaking parish of St. Augustine is actively contributing to a clothing drive in partnership with the Salvation Army.
What Is Most Needed Right Now?
The Salvation Army currently prioritises clothing for men.
- Men’s clothing is in high demand. Useful items include:
- T-shirts
- Long-sleeved cotton shirts
- Undershirts
- Shorts
- Socks
Few women use the facility, so men’s items are especially appreciated.
How Our Parish Has Contributed
In recent months, the St. Augustine community has generously donated:
- Over 250 winter coats (Feb–Mar)
- 250+ pairs of socks and underwear (April donation priority)
- Dozens of shirts, sweaters, and other clothing
- Around 50 pairs of sneakers and running shoes, which were a particular need expressed by the Salvation Army
Every donation is met with sincere gratitude. From the staff at the front desk to the individuals receiving the clothing, there is a genuine sense of appreciation for your generosity.
“Each time I deliver items, I’m blessed by the people there—whether it’s the security at the door, the person signing in guests, or the team receiving the donations. They always express heartfelt thanks.”
